Male Privileges in Pakistan Free Samples â⬠MyAssignmenthelp.com
Question: Disccuss about the Male Privileges in Pakistan. Answer: Male privilege can be understood by the term itself that it considers to the factors, advantages or rights with respect to social, economic and politics that are given or allowed specifically to the men on the basis of their sex. Here, in this essay we will focus on the male privileges in Pakistan where we will study in brief the mans access to the benefits and the personal view on the stated advantages. The essay will give an idea about the how the men in Pakistan since their birth are focused and cared from their family. The essay will give the perspective on how these below points are not completely valid to me as there must be a gender equality in the country where the women or men all must enjoy same kind of freedom and right to work according to their own will. On the other hand some of the privileges like taking the responsibility of the old people in the family are one of the points that seemed me to be valid and appropriate according to the masculine norms. The certain crite ria and thinkings are related with the advantages that are taken or given to the male group which negatively impacts the definition of the privileges. The essay below will particularly talk about four privileges in deep along with some extra findings on the basis of the sources studied. Men in Pakistan are given more preference than the women who are mostly neglected. People in Pakistan prefer towards giving birth to male rather than female child. I came across this factor after reading various journals and reports on the medical care which were given to more frequently to the sons that the daughters. This shows that more of the care is given to the men rather than women. In the same manner this extends into later childhood and adolescence (Hou 2016). It might be one of the reasons because people tend to believe that the women are a complete wasted investment. The people in Pakistan think that if they have boy child they are blessed because they are the bread earners of the family and whatever they will earn or whatever the family has will stay with family itself rather would not go to others family as in case of girls (Khurshid 2016). Therefore, this preference of boys is embedded in the cultural essence of Pakistan. This often led to higher mortality rate in women . According to my reading and findings I have also read that the girls are breastfed for less number of months as compared to the male and even the males provided with more medical attention and care. Men in Pakistan also enjoy the privilege of freedom in the entire context as compared to women. There they enjoy many of the opportunities such as the freedom to education starting from the primary to higher studies some even go out to pursue higher studies in abroad where as the women are not facilitated with this opportunity. Over 62% of the women of total have not ever been to primary schools in Pakistan (En.unesco.org, 2018). This in turn shows that the literacy level in women is too low as where in male the literacy rate is 69% and against female is 45%. Men in Pakistan have no further restriction while staying out of the house till late (The Nation, 2018). This is a kind of privilege that can be accepted but on the other hand the female group being in so much isolated form such as wearing burqa in public could have been accepted only if the same rights as like the men enjoy could have been enjoyed by the women. Pakistan is a country where basically there are two perceptions tha t women are to be subordinated to men and that mans honor resides in the action of the women of the family. According to me the freedom should be distributed equally to everyone in the country (Shah 2015). This way the country can get advantage of using its manpower to turn into its capital. According to my perspective this advantage taken by the men is not a right decision because the employment rate in the country can be contributed by both the gender which gradually shows the result by increasing the countrys development in all the sectors. Whereas, in my thinking the country should provide equal opportunity for both the genders to operate with their own decisions. Purdah is practiced in the country for only the women which is part of tradition, region and class which nowhere adds value but only unrelated men and women mix freely. This all practices are not only accepted in the rural but in urban residences too. This country is based and focused more on the men power rather than women because they believe that womens mobility is limited even in their behavior and activities (Shaikh and Pathan 2016). In this country, the employment options for the male section of the society are wider as for the females. Many professions such as games including cricket, Olympics and other, then army, science and technology this all field give the superior importance to the male group. Men enjoy a privilege in Pakistan where they give their family their own name and take the responsibility of the old people whereas the women leave their house after marriage and go to men house. This responsibility of men taking care of the elder people sounds nice but again the same women are no more responsible for getting any of the shares from her family and instead she had to take care and support her husbands family (Khalid, Nyborg and Khattak 2015). It is believed that men carry forward the name of the family and business trade but women do not which is not appreciated at all. The male are give the major of the land and property rights from his family. Women would be also given the right to take in charge of the family trade because they also have the capability to run the business successfully. The government there in Pakistan serves the benefit to the men who are eligible for holding all the property rights of the family more than the women. In some cases women are not even posted with any of the property rights once they are married to another family. Men can have the intention to keep relation with women informally whereas women can only keep formal relations with men. This type of thinking is back dated as it not only gives rise to illogical beliefs but also the illegal power to rise and impact negatively. The impacts can be as the men forcing his likes and dislikes or simply his opinions on the women and utilizing his power of authority in a distressful manner. Male are more subjected to adapt to any kind of decisions according to their like and dislike. As compared to the women they are not allowed to take all the decisions of their own but need to take permission from their father or brother. The country allows the men to work in any of the field without any of the restrictions. The men enjoy all sought of freedom in the country starting from earning their education in primary to earning opportunity in studying abroad. They make their own decision on the basis of their like and dislike. They even enjoy the privilege that they get in the field of employment as compared to the women of the country. More of the public services are preferred to the men as compared to the women who only constitute a few amount of contribution in the employment sector (Gill, Phull and Chachar 2017). Male are believed to take their own responsibilities and handle each situations and are believed that they are hard and not soft like women as a result they can tak e the responsibility of all the members of the family and this in turn gives them the right to take all the necessary decisions and even the decisions for the women of their family (Zubair and Zubair 2017). Their dislikes and likes are preferred by the society which led them a privilege by birth. This is wrong, because the right to make decision on the basis of own needs and requirements is to be granted to all. Men are domain with work and for women the work only limits within home related stuffs and taking care of the children. Research Journey While doing the assignment on reflective essay on the above topic it was interesting and knowledgeable as in the sense I never knew that there are such privileges taken in any part of the world where most of the benefits are given only to the men but not the women. I read out many reports and articles to understand the privileges that are allowed to the men in Pakistan. Some of the privileges were same as in other countries. It was also benefit for me because due to this study I went through many statistics which showed the level of literacy in Pakistan among females and males, the contribution of females in the work force and many other statistics. The main challenge while doing the assignment was to find out the exact privileges that were enjoyed by the men in Pakistan. As there are less information given on the specific about the privileges and more of the information were available on the feminism or the women of Pakistan. While the privileges are enjoyed by the men it can be see n that they strongly relate to the daily life domesticity. The decision making, taking forward the family name and trade are all part of the privileges that can be enjoyed by the male and female both but still are only addressed as male privilege in the country. The differences between male and female privileges in different countries, is the idea I have found with doing this assignment. Before doing this assignment I had no idea that on the name of privileges the men in some of the countries like Pakistan enjoy a limitless facility and which is given to them by their family members only. This research had helped me to gain knowledge on the field of privileges enjoyed by men in all the section of the society such as the social, political and economically. In the end, the essay can be concluded as such that male privileges that are enjoyed in Pakistan are partially correct and in some cases do not make any sense of their applicability. The first privilege that the male enjoy is they get the treatment and the facility at best from their birth where the women as compared to them do not get the same. In the similar manner again the male get various kinds of opportunity such as staying out with their friends, right to wear any sort of clothes of their choice, completing their education going abroad for wider opportunities. They enjoy the privileges offered by the services and institutions. The impacts of the privileges which are being used in a negative manner can affect the society and it consequences can lead to drag down the development of the society and the country. Some of the predetermined privileges wrongly formed due to the cultural thinking are the result of privileges harming the society and its components mainly the women. From the above it had been noticed that the male not only enjoy benefits in the field of education but also socially and in the family with great importance. References En.unesco.org. 2018. How to Write an Effective St. Anthony Essay Sample
How to Write an Effective St. Anthony Essay SampleWriting a St. Anthony essay sample is easy as long as you know what to include in the first place. In fact, just filling out an application to come to this college will get you started. But while it may be easy, there are some tips you need to follow to make sure that your essay does not end up sounding dull and lifeless.Wordy: Write less and ensure you are able to describe exactly what you mean. The student who has no idea what he/she is saying is never a good candidate for an essay. By taking that into consideration, you will need to limit the amount of words you use in your essay. Just remember that too much of a good thing might as well make it sound like a poorly written one.Use too many keywords: No one can read an essay without having a basic understanding of what is being said. Make sure you are not overusing the keywords that you have listed in your key. When you are writing an essay, it is better to use words you have found from other sources. Look for words that you have used in the past. These will help you in your research of grammar, the proper word order, and the proper usage of the correct tense.Incorrect grammar and punctuation: If your writing seems difficult to understand, chances are you will need a higher grade for your essay than the others. Take some time and review your composition to see if you have made any mistakes. For instance, if you forget to put a period at the end of a sentence or you have an incorrect number of commas in a paragraph, it may mean that you do not know how to properly use the rules of grammar.Plagiarism: If you happen to find a line of one of your friends' essays on the Internet, chances are you could include a small part of it in your own essay. It is not plagiarism to borrow only the necessary parts of your friend's work. By taking the appropriate precautions, you can avoid problems with plagiarism.Poor research: Research is one of the most important things you n eed to include in an essay. However, you need to ensure that your research is not only sound but also accurate. One of the best ways to research a topic is by checking out your school or state's textbooks. You may also consult online and off-campus resources such as libraries, students' unions, and home study courses to get information you need.Organization: Organizing is an art, not a science. This means that you need to plan out your thoughts and make sure they flow smoothly in your essay. Remember that essays are not meant to be read fast. They should be written in a methodical and orderly fashion that shows good writing skills.Conducting a student research project is an excellent way to improve your grades on your St. Anthony essay sample. It is not only about making sure you answer all the questions on the application and even make it look pretty, but the biggest factor is that you get feedback from your peers. Reading through an essay written by someone else helps you improve your skills as a writer.

Homeostasis Is a Central Theme In Animal Physiology Essay Example
Homeostasis Is a Central Theme In Animal Physiology Essay Homeostasis is the name given to the process that allows optimum conditions to be regulated in the body. This regulation of the internal environment must be independent of external environmental constraints. In humans this process is controlled by almost all of the bodily systems but mainly by the endocrine, respiratory and renal systems. Homeostasis therefore allows an organism to live in habitats that are not ideally suited to the internal environment, because, only in favourable conditions will the organism thrive. This allows the organism to in an environment not best suited to its internal functioning but in conditions which may be favourable for foraging etc. a prime example are fish, a fresh water fish lives in an environment which in definition is more dilute than within its internal environment, sea water fish on the other hand live in a environment where its surroundings are more alkali than its internal environment. The need for homeostasis can be traced to the cellular level, as cells interact with their immediate environment (either via cellular communication, signal proteins, expulsion of ion, and uptake of ions). Right to the organ level or tissue organisation were for example the expulsion of urea changes the blood pH and osmolarity. These internal changes are countered by the excretion of hormones etc, (these substances share 4 main structural forms. Amines, steroids, prostaglandin and peptides) which start a chain reaction to nullify the change these hormones are either secreted via ducts (exocrine system) or directly into the blood stream, (endocrine system). Homeostasis therefore is controlled by many systems, and although complex, many multi organ physiological mechanisms help regulate in many ways. However the theory of an internal environment wasnt recognised until a French physiologist Claude Bernard in 1872 put forward the idea of a constant internal environment stating, 1Constancy of the internal environment is the condition of free life. It is however important to remember that the regulation of an internal environment does not only concern body temperature but also such things as blood pH [H+], Blood glucose concentration, osmotic potential etc. All of these systems must be regulated in some how to maintain this internal environment, this regulatory system relies on a feedback system, which can be illustrated in a simple diagram (figure 1. 1). Figure 1. 1 clearly shows the system of negative feedback this is where in essence an off signal (in one of the structural forms mentioned). Is sent from the hypothalamus to stop the process and therefore retain a homeostatic condition. This feedback system allows homeostasis to be regulated almost automatically. This negative feedback however can sometimes go wrong. A prime and well-documented case of this is diabetes. When blood glucose levels increase above a threshold limit the endocrine system (stimulated via the hypothalamus) activates the pancreas, this then secretes a hormone called insulin which this accelerates the uptake of blood glucose into storage molecules of glycogen (especially in the liver) and fat molecules. However if this uptake of sugar is not regulated enough then absorption of sugar will continue and the blood glucose level drops the result is glaucoma and ultimately death. This leads to the conclusion that glaucoma is the result of a breakdown in the homeostatic system and therefore a breakdown of blood glucose regulation. Homeostasis however is not only controlled by the hypothalamus, hormones which are produced by the hypothalamus to regulate homeostasis, are regulated by neurohormones, which are secreted by specialised nerve cells called neurosecretory cells. These cells which are found in the hypothalamus. These regulate the secretion of various glandular hormones from the non-neural anterior pituitary gland. These neurohormones are different to the hormones secreted by the hypothalamus as they target direct tissues (with relation to hormone structure and function). These specific neurosecretory cells are located in the anterior hypothalamus, these also demonstrate the diversity found within an organ, which allows this process to be self regulated. But homeostasis is not only regulated by internal bodily systems but also external structural/environmental conditions, an example environmental control is that of heat transference, As all metabolic reactions produce heat sometimes this heat would build up in the body, this would have devastating consequences on bodily functions such as the functioning of enzymes as after a certain temperature these become permanently de natured and unable to function, So when the body over heats, the hypothalamus sends a signal to the sweat glands which are located in the epidermal layer of the skin to produce sweat. This sweat then evaporates taking the heat energy with it. Therefore reducing the body temperature and maintaining homeostasis, the skeletal structure is an example of a structural way of controlling homeostasis. This is mainly due to the composition of skeletal bone. As skeletal bone is comprised mainly of calcium this can act as a calcium reserve. there are times in the homeostatic cycle when this calcium needs to be metabolised from bone tissue for use by other systems, e. . Calcium is very important for normal muscle functioning, therefore calcium ion concentration must be kept at a correct level in the surrounding blood and tissue fluids, the consequences of a breakdown in this regulation would lead to changes in the calcium ion concentration leading to a compromise in muscle activity, it is in this way that the skeletal system helps regulate homeostasis. The conclusion of this is that homeostasis is essential to a living organism and is in essence self regulated by a complex system of feedback loops regulated by many organ systems however these regulatory systems sometimes go wrong and need external assistance be this injecting hormones, taking advantage of environmental conditions, i. e. basking in the sun (lizards), panting (dogs, etc).

Armament Guns: 6 x 0.50 in. M2 Browning machine guns Bombs: 2 Ãâ" 100 lb bombs and/or 2 Ãâ" 58 gallon drop tanks F4F Wildcat - Design Development: In 1935, the US Navy issued a call for a new fighter to replace its fleet of Grumman F3F biplanes. Responding, Grumman initially developed another biplane, the XF4F-1 which was an enhancement of the F3F line. Comparing the XF4F-1 with the Brewster XF2A-1, the Navy elected to move forward with the latter, but asked Grumman to rework their design. Returning to the drawing board, Grummans engineers completely redesigned the aircraft (XF4F-2), transforming it into a monoplane featuring large wings for greater lift and a higher speed than the Brewster. Despite these changes, the Navy decided to move forward with the Brewster after a fly-off at Anacostia in 1938. Working on their own, Grumman continued to modify the design. Adding the more powerful Pratt Whitney R-1830-76 Twin Wasp engine, expanding the wing size, and modifying the tailplane, the new XF4F-3 proved capable of 335 mph. As the XF4F-3 greatly surpassed the Brewster in terms of performance, the Navy granted a contract to Grumman to move the new fighter into production with 78 aircraft ordered in August 1939. F4F Wildcat - Operational History: Entering service with VF-7 and VF-41 in December 1940, the F4F-3 was equipped with four .50 cal. machine guns mounted in its wings. While production continued for the US Navy, Grumman offered a Wright R-1820 Cyclone 9-powered variant of the fighter for export. Ordered by the French, these aircraft were not complete by the fall of France in mid-1940. As a result, the order was taken over by the British who used the aircraft in the Fleet Air Arm under the name Martlet. Thus it was a Martlet that scored the types first combat kill when one downed a German Junkers Ju 88 bomber over Scapa Flow on December 25, 1940. Learning from British experiences with the F4F-3, Grumman began introducing a series of changes to the aircraft including folding wings, six machine guns, improved armor, and self-sealing fuel tanks. While these improvements slightly hampered the new F4F-4s performance, they improved pilot survivability and increased the number that could be carried aboard American aircraft carriers. Deliveries of the Dash Four began in November 1941. A month earlier, the fighter officially received the name Wildcat. At the time of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, the US Navy and Marine Corps possessed 131 Wildcats in eleven squadrons. The aircraft quickly came to prominence during the Battle of Wake Island (December 8-23, 1941), when four USMC Wildcats played a key role in the heroic defense of the island. During the next year, the fighter provided defensive cover for American planes and ships during the strategic victory at the Battle of the Coral Sea and the decisive triumph at the Battle of Midway. In addition to carrier use, the Wildcat was an important contributor to Allied success in the Guadalcanal Campaign. Though not as nimble as its main Japanese opponent, the Mitsubishi A6M Zero, the Wildcat quickly earned a reputation for its ruggedness and ability to withstand shocking amounts of damage while still remaining airborne. Learning quickly, American pilots developed tactics to deal with the Zero which utilized the Wildcats high service ceiling, greater ability to power dive, and heavy armament. Group tactics were also devised, such as the Thach Weave which allowed Wildcat formations to counter a diving attack by Japanese aircraft. In mid-1942, Grumman ended Wildcat production in order to focus on its new fighter, the F6F Hellcat. As a result, manufacture of the Wildcat was passed to General Motors. Though the fighter was supplanted by the F6F and F4U Corsair on most American fast carriers by mid-1943, its small size made it ideal for use aboard escort carriers. This allowed the fighter to remain in both American and British service through the end of the war. Production ended in fall 1945, with a total of 7,885 aircraft built. While the F4F Wildcat often receives less notoriety than its later cousins and possessed a less-favorable kill-ratio, it is important to note that the aircraft bore the brunt of the fighting during the critical early campaigns in the Pacific when Japanese air power was at its peak. Among the notable American pilots who flew the Wildcat were Jimmy Thach, Joseph Foss, E. Scott McCuskey, and Edward Butch OHare. Selected Sources Military Factory: F4F WildcatChuckhawks: F4F Wildcat

GAME THEORY essays
GAME THEORY essays One of the most famous and most thoroughly studied examples of game theory is the Prisoners Dilemma. In this situation, the police have caught two people and charged them with a crime. The police separate the prisoners into different rooms and give them the option of confessing. The police tell the two prisoners that they have enough evidence of the crime to send them to jail for X amount of years. However, if one prisoner confesses fully to the crime and testifies against the other but the other doesnt, then the prisoner who confessed will get get a much lighter sentence than X and the prisoner who did not confess will get a heavier sentence than X. However, if both of the prisoners confess and testify against the other, then the police have enough evidence to convict both prisoners for a slightly heavier sentence than X. Since neither of these prisoners knows what the other one is saying, we can use a decision tree to determine the dominant strategy for these people. (see fi gure A on attached sheet) In this dilemma, the dominant game strategy for the prisoners is to confess. Although the strategy for these games seems very predictable, there is a paradox that arises. The police are also a player in this game. The police have evidence to put these criminals away for only X years but if the prisoners confess, then they have enough evidence to put them away for slightly more than X years. In this situation, the police want to do all they can in their power to make these criminals confess to the crime. The actions by the authorities have to be included in the outcome of the game. The way the authorities can change the outcome of the game is to penalize the prisoners if they do not do what the authorities want. Therefore the only two actions that the authority can perform are to penalize or not penalize the prisoners. However, the dominant strategy of the authority and the impact of their actions are determ...

The Function and Role of the Chorus in Medea and Lysistrata Essay
The Function and Role of the Chorus in Medea and Lysistrata - Essay Example Euripides uses the chorus in a limited but important way. The chorus does not drive the action; indeed, the chorus is in many ways detached and, at times, almost physically helpless. The chorus, however, is an essential and meaningful element of the play. The chorus reacts to the action and expresses itself as an overarching conscience. The chorus expresses sympathy and understanding. The chorus expresses sadness and lamentations. Its perception of the main characters changes throughout the play, and these changes compel the reader to continuously reevaluate the main characters. In addition to these reevaluations, the chorus functions as a signifier of change in the play. The chorus is often used by Euripides to signify a further development in the play. In short, the chorus is intimately connected to the play, even though it is in many ways detached from the underlying action, and it functions to force deeper assessments of the main characters and to signify developments in the play . As an initial matter, the chorus in Medea is used to function as an overarching conscience and to compel the observer to reassess the main characters. ... This is a woman whom has been betrayed. Her wrath and her pain are justifiable. The chorus judges Medea the innocent victim, "for thou wilt be taking a just vengeance on thy husband, Medea. That thou shouldst mourn thy lot surprises me not." (Medea, 117). The chorus declares Medea oppressed and her husband perfidious. The nature of the revenge decided upon, and the breadth of victims, force changes in the opinion of the chorus. Medea's plan to poison her husband and his bride, as well as her subsequent killing of her sons, elicit a quite different reaction from the chorus. Indeed, when Medea reveals her plans to the chorus, it remarks, How then shall the city of sacred streams, the land that welcomes those it loves, receive thee, the murderess of thy children, thee whose presence with others is a pollution 'Think on the murder of thy children, consider the bloody deed thou takest on thee. Nay, by thy knees we, one and all, implore thee, slay not thy babes (Medea, 998). The chorus is recharacterizing Medea and being used by Euripides to explore both the nature of vengeance and the limits of justice. Medea is fairly motivated, but her plan goes beyond what the chorus deems moral and just. In the end, as the chorus witnesses Medea's killing of her sons, they remain outside of the action. They play no protective role bound by their oath not to intervene, and they witness the death struggle and the screams helplessly. They simply observe that, "Can there be any deed of horror left to follow this Woe for the wooing of women fraught with disaster!" (Medea, 1209). The chorus judges Jason and Medea excessive. The children are innocent victims. A vengeance, once
